Earlier this month I was looking for something new for dinner. I have a ton of chicken dishes so I was wanting some beef. I came across a recipe for London broil, and thought why not! I’m so very glad I decided to give it a try. It’s our new family favorite!!
I have tweaked the original recipe I found, but it’s still cooked the same way.
1 cut of London broil beef
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp onion powder
2 garlic cloves minced
1 tsp Italian spice blend
1 tsp salt
Pepper to taste
In a gallon size ziplock bag add the oil and spices. Place the meat whole into the bag. Coat evenly, and place in fridge to marinate at least 3 hours but 8 or more is even better. Heat oven to Broil. Place the meat on a baking pan and put under the broiler for 4-6 minutes on each side. Allow meat to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
This meat is juicy tender and full of flavor. Even my husband who covers all beef in A1 sauce doesn’t put anything on this.
This is a lean cut of beef, I haven’t had to trim any fat from my pieces, and I love that!
The meat in the above photo was 2.75 lbs and cooked for 6 minutes each side.
